Cayuta Gulf FLT trailhead on Gulf Road, a gravel road just off of Schuyler County Road #6 near the Cayuta Lake outlet, south of Cayuta Lake. There is a small parking lot about 200 yards down Gulf Road. Shoulder parking is available (click for map).

Hike Details:

Gear up for an exhilarating 6-mile loop hike, rated strenuous with an elevation change of about 1,000 feet, on the Van Lone Loop at Connecticut Hill, led by Rhett Dial.
Ensure you’re dressed in lightweight, moisture-wicking summer hiking gear, and don’t forget to pack ample water, sunscreen, and insect repellent. A light lunch or snack is also recommended, as we’ll pause for a refuel halfway through.
The trailhead on Gulf Road is just a 30-minute journey from Ithaca. If you need help with directions, reach out to the hike leader via email.
