Hike Details:
Taughannock Falls State Park is a beloved local landmark, with Gorge and Rim Trails that showcase a spectacular gorge incised into bedrock, and a stunning “hanging valley” falls. This Park also has other, less visited trails that we will explore on this hike. We will meet at the Falls Overlook parking area, and explore these less traveled trails.
Shorter Hike Option: Our route will pass by the parking area about half way through, allowing hikers to choose the shorter distance.
Wear sturdy hiking boots, layered clothing appropriate to the weather conditions, and bring water and a snack/lunch. Bring footwear traction devices (Nanospikes, Microspikes, Stabilicers, etc). Hiking poles are recommended.
