Launch Site: The launch is located at the NYS Parks – Fair Haven Park, adjacent to Little Sodus Bay and Lake Ontario (click here for map). There is a designated launch area on the north end of the Sterling Pond.

Hike Details:

This is an out-and-back loop starting at the Sterling Pond at Fair Haven Park. Both creeks are wide and gentle with abundant wildlife. The route can include as much distance as time and conditions allow. The cattail marsh has abundant mammal and waterfowl populations, especially during migration seasons.

Added Attractions or other activities: Extensive hiking trails on the Ontario Shore and adjacent mature woodlands at both the Fair Haven Park, and the nearby Sterling Nature Center. Paddling on the adjacent Little Sodus Bay. Renaissance Festival.
