Hike Details:

This short hike will take us through the newly opened Finger Lakes Land Trust Preserve at Cayuga Cliffs, directly across Cayuga Lake from Taughannock Falls.  The trails cross beautiful open meadows with meadowlarks, bobolinks , and wildflowers in season, and deep forests.  They pass small streams and waterfalls on the way to several overlooks with spectacular views along and across Cayuga Lake.  The preserve contains over 4,000 feet of wooded bluffs and is part of several unique natural areas as designated by Tompkins County.  There are a few short sections of trail that are a bit steep but overall it is a very easy hike.
