Hike Details:

This is a two-section hike of about 3-4 miles rated moderate, which incorporates a short car shuttle to connect us to different parts of the Roy H. Park Preserve.

Additional information from the Hike Leader:

We will meet at 10 am at the North preserve parking area on Irish Settlement Road in Dryden.

We will begin with a short but very interesting walk out and back on the new handicap accessible boardwalk over the marsh at the North preserve.

Next we will drive about a mile to the South preserve parking area.  From there we will hike out the blue trail to Six Mile Creek and then out and back along a social trail upstream along the creek for approximately a mile.  There are a few shallow stream crossings along the way.  Then we will take another unmaintained trail back to the creek at different point downstream.  After that we will return to our cars via the orange trail.  While this hike is not the most challenging physically, the walk along Six Mile Creek is one of the most beautiful hikes around.
