Hike Details:

This is an out-and-back hike rated moderate. We will hike the Finger Lakes Trail in Robinson Hollow State Forest.

A long hike and a short hike are being offered. Choose one:

Short Hike will go 4-5 miles out-and-back. Long Hike will go 7 miles to Harford-Slaterville Road

The trail starts with a steep, half-mile climb out of the valley of the West Branch of Owego Creek.  Once we get to the top of the hill, we’ll be rewarded with a particularly quiet and peaceful section of the FLT. The only sounds you are likely to hear are the conversation with your fellow hikers, footfalls, and bird song.  Along the way, we’ll stop at the Kimmie Lean-to.  The turn-around point will be where the Finger Lakes Trail reaches the Harford-Slaterville Rd.

Wear sturdy hiking boots or shoes, bring water and snack/lunch, and insect repellent if you use it.  Hiking poles are highly recommended.

If you will have trouble navigating to the trailhead, email the hike leader at the address above.

Check this space the morning of the hike for any changes or a cancellation.
