Hike Details:
Monkey Run Natural Area, part of Cornell Botanic Gardens, protects a beautiful section of Fall Creek including its high banks and low floodplain. Join Jules Ginenthal, Natural Areas Stewardship Coordinator, on a hike exploring the landscape within one of the creek’s wide meanders. Jules will discuss the human history in this area, forest ecology, invasive species removals, and trail routing, building, and maintenance. This will be a leisurely hike, with a focus on learning about the natural history and stewardship of Monkey Run Natural Area.
Note: There is a steep set of stairs on the bank of the creek.
Wear layered warm clothing, and carry water and a snack.
