Hike Description
This adventure takes us up the spectacular waterfalls along Lick Brook, along the FLT spur trail to Buttermilk Falls State Park, where it connects to the Lake Treman loop trail. From there, we will hike down the Rim Trail and end our hike near the beautiful, iconic Buttermilk Falls.
We will be hiking up and down steep terrain. If you struggle on steep pitches, you might want to join us another time.
We will meet at the Lower Buttermilk Falls parking area, leave most cars there, and carpool to the FLT/Lick Brook parking area on Rt 13. After the hike, some drivers will be needed to shuttle back to FLT/Lick Brook.
Dress in layers for the weather, wear sturdy waterproof hiking boots, and bring water and lunch. Bring footwear traction devices (Microspikes, Nanospikes, Stabilicers, etc), or, if conditions warrant, snowshoes. Hiking poles are strongly recommended.
