Detailed Hike Descripton
Join us for this hike, which is part of the Finger Lakes Trail System. The hike is both on private land and Kennedy State Forest.
Our hike will start on Daisy Hollow Road following the Main FLT east to get the most unpleasant part of this hike behind us. We’ll soon enter Kennedy State Forest and follow a lovely creek.
The hike utilizes the 3.5 miles of orange blazed Spanish Loop Trail and 2.6 miles of the white blazed FLT.
The trail is well maintained. There are several other hikes which connect with the one we will be traveling. The trail is diverse, there  is a 782 elevation gain, stream crossings, and  a semi-vertical mossy spring and an amazing forest.  The trail maintainer has brought benches and chairs so hikers can contemplate the amazing features along the hike.
Dress in layers, wear sturdy boots, bring hiking poles if you have them for the creeek crossings and maybe dry socks in case you get wet feets. Bring water and snacks.
If you will have trouble navigating to the trailhead, contact the hike leader at the address above.
Check this space the morning of the hike for any changes or a cancellation.
