Brief Outing Details

This is an easy kayak paddle on the Whitney Point Park Reservoir. Note there is a 30 minute drive from Ithaca to the put-in, at the park.

Sandra Greeene will lead this easy kayaking outing. 

All paddlers must have, at a minimum, the following gear: a reasonable kayak, paddle, personal flotation device, and whistle. This outing is open to experienced paddlers only; novice kayakers should watch for another outing open to beginners.

This location has no kayak rentals. If you need a boat, be sure to contact someone you know who has a boat, paddle and pfd that you can borrow.  

Dress for the weather, bring water and water shoes, sneakers or sandals that you don’t mind getting wet. It is wise to bring a second pair of dry shoes or boots for the ride home.
