Brief Outing Details

This is an easy kayak paddle on Seneca Lake. We will paddle up to Hector Falls and back. Note there is a 45 minute drive to the put-in from Ithaca. The put-in is the boat launch off Route 414, just east of Watkins Glen.

Sandra Greeene will lead this easy kayaking outing. 

All paddlers must have, at a minimum, the following gear: a reasonable kayak, paddle, personal flotation device, and whistle. This outing is open to experienced paddlers only; novice kayakers should watch for another outing open to beginners.

Kayak rentals may be available near the boat launch. If you need a boat, contact Seneca Lake Kayaking in Watkins Glen for more information.

Dress for the weather, bring water and water shoes, sneakers or sandals that you don’t mind getting wet. It is wise to bring a second pair of dry shoes or boots for the ride home.
