Hike Details:
This is a 7-mile double loop hike to Jones Hill and Fellows Hill on the Onondaga Trail with an ascent of 1075 feet. It is rated strenuous due to length and elevation change.
This hike requires an hour drive to Tully, NY one way.
From Spruce Pond, we will do the Fellows Hill loop first, then the out-and-back hike that takes us to the hang gliding lookout. We’ll stop for a bite to eat at the lookout, which in fair weather offers a nice view of the valley below.
Dress in layers, wear sturdy waterproof hiking boots, bring plenty of water, insecticide and sunscreen. Gaiters and hiking pole recommended. There may be mud on this section.
Using gps, set your unit for 615 Herlihy Road, Tully, NY. We will begin our adventure from the Herlihy Road parking lot adjacent to Spruce Pond.
If you will have trouble navigating to the trailhead, email the hike leader at the address above.
Check this space the day of the hike for any changes or cancellations.
