Brief Hike Details

This is is an 8 mile loop hike rated strenuous due to length. We will stop briefly for lunch at about the halfway point.

We begin and end our hike at the Bear Swamp State Forest south trailhead on Bear Swamp Road.

Bear Swamp is located in the Town of Sempronius, about an hour’s drive from Ithaca.

Dress appropriately, wear sturdy, waterproof hiking boots, bring water, a sandwich or snack for lunch, and insecticide or organic bug repellant if you use it.

If you will have trouble navigating to the trailhead, contact the hike leader.

If you are using gps, set destination for: 2450 Bear Swamp Road, Moravia.
