Hike Details:

While this hike requires a 75 minute drive (one way), what better way to get to know your fellow hikers than to be taking a road trip?

Green Lakes State Park’s outstanding features are its two glacial lakes surrounded by upland forest.  Both Round and Green Lakes are meromictic lakes which means that there is no fall and spring mixing of surface and bottom waters.  The lakes are very clear and reflect a bluish green on sunny days.

The hike will take us around both lakes, through some old growth forest, and onto a grassland with a few nice views.
