Hike Details:
While this hike requires a 75 minute drive (one way), what better way to get to know your fellow hikers than to be taking a road trip?
Green Lakes State Park’s outstanding features are its two glacial lakes surrounded by upland forest. Â Both Round and Green Lakes are meromictic lakes which means that there is no fall and spring mixing of surface and bottom waters. Â The lakes are very clear and reflect a bluish green on sunny days.
The hike will take us around both lakes, through some old growth forest, and onto a grassland with a few nice views.
