Event/Trailhead location:
After turning into Hoxie Gorge Road from Route 11, you’ll pass under I81 and come to a gentle fork in the road; stay left to stay on Hoxie Gorge Rd. In the last mile before you reach the parking area you’ll pass through a somewhat windy one-lane section of the road. Be aware of any on-coming traffic. When you get to the end of the paved road, keep going until you reach the parking area (click for map).

Hike Details:
This is an out and back hike, from the Hoxie Gorge Leanto, mostly on the FLT through Hoxie Gorge State Forest. We will hike along portions of a blue-blazed trail (that used to be the FLT before it was moved) and the McDermott Nature Trail on our way to the current FLT.
