Labor Day weekend Camping Trip 2018 - Catskills

Friday, August 31 - Monday, September 3, 2018  •  10:00 am

A few spots are still available

CTC club members have reserved eight campsites in the north-east corner of the Catskills in North-South Lake DEC Campground near Tannersville, google North-South Lake Campground.

If you are interested in camping with the group, let us know your interest. We can accomodate a few more hikers and can offer to share some of our campsites.

Fees for each campsite are $22 per night + $9 non refundable booking fee. One campsite can hold up to 6 people, 2 tents and two cars. One campsite is $75 for 3 nights including the reservation fee. For those who want to share a campsite the total cost will be split. You need to bring your own tent or camper and all equipment. We usually plan Saturday and Sunday dinners together.

Please, let Barbara know at barbnuss@gmail.com or 607 257 6906  if you are interested in next year's trip and want to share a campsite.

From the Website for North-south Lake Campground: North-South Lake is the biggest and most popular state campground in the Catskill Forest Preserve, offering extraordinary scenic beauty, and historical sites, such as: Alligator Rock, Kaaterskill Falls, and the former site of the Catskill Mountain House. An abrupt change in elevation occurs from about 540 feet above sea level at the base of the escarpment to approximately 2,250 feet at the site of the former Catskill Mountain House. The provinces around the lakes have long provided visitors with exceptional views of the surrounding countryside. It is said that on a clear day, five states can be viewed from the escarpment.
