Our hike begins on the Finger Lakes Trail (FLT) M16 on Tower Road very close to the highest elevation in Tompkins County (2099 feet). The hike starts on the white blazed FLT which is located on an isolated section of the Robert H. Treman State Park land. We then follow the orange blazed loop trail through the Connecticut Hill Wildlife Management Area (CHWM). The loop trail is named after a former manager of the CHWM. Although the trail is rated moderate there are some steep sections but there is no hurry. This is a Finger Lakes Trail Passport Hike, we will pass a station where you can take a rubbing.

Wear sturdy hiking shoes, bring a drink and snacks and be prepared for ticks and bugs.
